I CAN BE A SUPER-FRIEND!
At Gleason School, Mrs. Sherri Brawner’s Pre-K class has been discussing qualities of friendship, how they can help each other to be better classmates, and how working together creates a happy learning environment. To reinforce these concepts, students who show great characteristics of friendship in the Pre-K classroom are given the class “SUPER-FRIEND” cape to wear for a while to showcase that child to classmates as a role-model. The class brainstormed ways to be “Super-friends” at school. Some of their ideas included: “Be nice to everyone, play nicely, share toys, use nice words, and ask friends to play.” Each child also made a “Super-friend” hero mask and wore it with pride as they exhibited “Super-friend” qualities.
